High School Student Council

The West Platte High School Student Council is one of the most prominent school organizations, heading many different events and projects. Student Council offers leadership experiences and networking opportunities for all West Platte students. We strive to encourage involvement and inclusion of the whole student body by offering many opportunities for service and team work. Student Council members are looked upon as the voice of the student body. Leadership is the key word for a successful student council, and all of the West Platte High School Student Council members display high quality leadership characteristics.

Mission: The mission of Student Council is to provide programs and resources that develop positive student leaders who will promote a quality school and community environment. We promote character, integrity, service, scholarship, and citizenship in order to develop successful lifelong learners and citizens.

Meetings: Student Council is a busy organization that has activities and responsibilities throughout the entire year. Meeting times and places vary, but students can stay informed by listening for announcements, checking out our bulletin board, and following us on Twitter.

Participation: Everyone is welcome to participate in Student Council. Students must complete forms in order to be eligible to letter and must be in good standing in order to participate in some activities.
